Compton Abdale |
|
A pretty little hamlet located on the old 'salt way' which ran across the Cotswolds. The salt was used for curing meat to store for the winter. In the village there is a small stream emerging from some stones called the crocodile (for obvious reasons!). St. Oswalds church features unusual gargoyles. There are many small villages in close proximity to Compton Abdale which make the area a brilliant place to explore. |
