Cirencester |

Once known as 'Corinium Dubonnorum', Cirencester was the second largest Roman city in England. Cirencester today, is known as The Capital of the Cotswolds. Cirencester's Street Market is recorded in the Doomsday Book in 1086 and is still to this day one of the main features of the town. St. John the Baptist's Church is one of the largest Cotswold woolchurches and overlooks the whole of the town. The Corinium Museum and Cirencester Park are definitely worth visiting. Cirencester also offers superb shops and precincts and a browse through the craft markets are a must. |
